AI-Guided Carrier Onboarding Technology
An independent invention by Michael J. Hinkle III — 2025.

The Problem
Every major delivery network in the United States shares the same invisible onboarding bottleneck.
New carriers learn a sorting case the same way they did 50 years ago — manually, slowly, and with significant error risk. Printed route books. Visual row-by-row scanning. Trial and error. The cognitive load is real, the productivity loss is measurable, and the industry has accepted it as unavoidable.
FlashRT was built on the premise that it isn’t.

The Concept
FlashRT is an AI-assisted carrier guidance system that eliminates the cognitive friction of learning a new delivery case.
A carrier scans an incoming mail piece with a mobile device. FlashRT reads the address, references the route’s organizational structure, and instantly indicates the correct physical slot on the sorting case — removing the need to search, reference printed materials, or rely on memory during the learning phase.
New carriers sort mail and learn the case simultaneously. The sorting case becomes a responsive, intelligent workspace.

Before & After

Without FlashRT:
- Manual address reading
- Printed route book reference
- Visual row-by-row case search
- Significant error risk during learning phase
With FlashRT:
- Mobile scan
- Instant address recognition
- Correct slot illuminated immediately
- Guided, accurate, confident placement
The Numbers
24 hours — saved per route annually (conservative baseline)
$1,230 — in labor efficiency value per route per year
$553,500 — estimated value per district (75 offices)
$120M–$180M+ — projected national value (20% USPS addressable market)
Conservative estimates. Full methodology and assumptions available in the concept overview document.

About the Inventor
FlashRT was independently conceived and developed by Michael J. Hinkle III in 2025, drawing on 12+ years of direct operational experience managing last-mile delivery teams, carrier onboarding processes, and route performance across multiple markets.
This invention was built from the inside — not by an outside observer analyzing the industry but by a leader who has personally managed the cost, frustration, and systemic inefficiency of manual case learning across multiple delivery environments. That operational grounding is what makes the concept both novel and immediately deployable.
