Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia and now based in Seattle, WA (since 2025), Michael Joseph, 34, is a lifelong hip-hop and R&B connoisseur who has been crafting beats and soulful sounds since 2003.

A self-taught beat maker, play-by-ear keyboardist, drummer, and home producer, Michael describes his style as “Hip-Jazz” or “Route Music” — a blend of catchy, immersive loops, hard-hitting drums, and funky melodies. His music reflects a deep love for the 1990s and early 2000s, blending nostalgia with modern groove.

In the studio, Michael leans on Logic Pro, iPad Pro, and iMac, paired with instruments like the Roland Juno DS, Zoom R8 Audio Interface, and Akai MPKmini, blending modern tech with tactile tools to shape his unique style.
